Jenny and Drew's wedding had style from beginning to end- from walking in and seeing the most beautiful assortment of bridesmaids dresses at Gloss Salon to walking out of the reception at the Pere decorated with soft tones of gold and pink, the day was romantic and lovely. Many people wonder whether I recommend a first look or not, and while I never think that having one is a bad idea, I do understand why some brides want to wait and see each other for the first time when she's walking down the aisle. For Jenny and Drew, I definitely think that was the right choice- it warmed my heart to see Drew's face as he saw Jenny for the first time, it was one of those moments when I can't help but feel lucky to be photographing weddings for a living. They had a beautiful Latin Mass at Sacred Heart followed by lots of photos in the warm August sun. We wrapped up our photos downtown by the Pere and finally made our way into cool air-conditioning, ice cold drinks, and the prettiest reception you'd ever want to see. Toward the end of my stay, Drew surprised his grandma with a darling dance in her honor- a perfect way to end a perfect day. Congratulations Jenny and Drew!
